Intrepid Events Video Help 28K/56K Modem If you connect to the internet with a 28K or 56K dialup modem then use this link to view the video. During playback you may notice at times the picture slows down to a slide show and the audio continues, this is normal with dial up connections. The SureStream™ server is compensating for the fluctuations in bandwidth by maintaining the audio and slowing down the video temporarily until the buffer is reloaded. Once the buffer is full again, the normal video frame rate will be restored. If your connection to the internet is with a 28K or 56K dialup modem, clicking on a link labeled for ( DSL/Cable ) will likely result in frustration due to the higher bandwidth requirements. 256K DSL/Cable If you connect to the internet using a broadband connection such as DSL or a Cable modem click on the video links labeled ( DSL/Cable ). These clips have been built to support a bandwidth range from 256K DSL up to 384K Cable. During playback you may notice the Real SureStream™ connection speed drops down and the video becomes choppy or pixilated. This is usually due to network congestion and disk latency. These tendencies are more prevalent during the peak hours of the daytime and early evening. Accessing the video during the late evening or early morning hours often provides for better viewing as the network is less congested. Voice Only If the ( Voice Only ) link is available, use this link if your connection is slow ( 28K or less ) or you desire audio only. Even with the slowest connections the audio is normally maintained with few interruptions. Intrepid Events Audio Help Occasionally during playback you may notice the audio level is low. If you are having this problem there a two ways the audio level can be improved. On the RealPlayer there is an audio volume slider. Slide the volume control to the right until the volume is at the desired level. If after sliding the volume control to the furthest position to the right you still find the volume to low, then increase the speaker volume on your computer. On computers running Windows 95 and newer, there is normally a speaker icon on the bottom right hand side of the screen in what is called the taskbar. If you see this speaker icon double click on it. The first panel on the left is for the volume level. Move the slider up until the desired volume is achieved. If you do not see an audio icon in your taskbar, click on Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment and locate the shortcut to the Volume Control.
